It was already at the tender age of 4 years that the Japanese-born Chifuyu Yada began her piano instruction. Later, she studied in Munich with Professor Gerhard Oppitz and in Saarbruecken under Professors Nerine Barrett and Bernd Glemser. It was during this time that this remarkable and talented pianist was a prize winner in the Walter Gieseking Competition. Following her studies, Yada earned a professorship at the university of music of Saarland and has, since 1995, held a professorship at the Munich university of music.

Chifuyu Yada is today a highly sought-after pianist and undertakes numerous solo and chamber music performances with well-known musicians both at home and abroad. She has become especially well-known through her several CD and radio recordings and performances together with the Saarland, Hessian and middle German Radio stations.
